Ragley Ti

Brant,
Not sure if you got my last email?

I have built my Ragley Ti up as a 1x9, as I usually ride fully rigid single speed, with my trusty Middleburns, some Magura Menja 130mm forks and pushed the boat out with some Crank Brother Cobalt XC wheels. Its a lovely frame that climbs up mountain and descends down dale great and does everything else with minimal fuss, its great for the NY Moors singletrack. The frame is super solid for stomp and go with that sublime Ti feel that filters out the trail. If I had to sum it up I think 'Point and Squirt' would be the words.

Thanks.

Martin.

Mmmbop - better late than never!

Hi there,

Just some pictures and the specs of my finally finished Mmmbop. Couldn't rush the build, it had to be good (actually I was broke).

What I've put together:

Mmmbop 18"
Fox 32 Float RL 140mm
Cane Creek One Point Five
WTB Laserdisc Trail
Conti Rubber Queen Black Chili 2.2's
Sunline V1 715mm, Superstar lock-ons, some Matchmakers
Gravity Gap 50mm stem
Elixir R 185's
Sram x.9
gears, Jagwire outer cables
SLX cranks 22/36 t, Truvativ bash, Superstar chaindevice
Gravity Gap seatpost, Superstar clamp, Nisene saddle

Weighs in at just 12,6 kg (with pedals)

I'm pretty satisfied and getting used to 140mm of travel... Can't wait to take her to the French Alps!

Ragley Troof Pics!

Just finished building my Troof!
Got the only frame that was available from CRC, and I'm pretty sure that was the frame exposed on the Hotlines London Show (photos at Bikeradar), it even came with stickers on, unlike other Ragleys that come with a sticker sheet.
It's a size 17. Frame weight is 2.200 kg.
Components choice was based on CRC january sale: Rockshox Lyric Coil U-Turn 1.5 steerer, Cane Creek headset, Thomson Stem, Easton carbon post, Ragley saddle and Wiser carbon bar, Shimano crank, Blackspire Dewlie chainguide, XT front der., X9 rear der. and shifters, Flow rims, Nukeproof 12mm thru rear hub and Hope front, Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.4 rear and Big Betty GGC front tires, twenty6 pedals.
Took the photos and then took her for it's first ride...
First ride impressions: WOW!!! It's a trail scalpel. Way heavier than my mmmBop, but inspires a lot of confidence on the downs, and the geometry is better suited for me (16" mmmBop, I'm 178 cm tall). The steeper seat angle makes it able to climb anything you have the lungs and legs to handle (mine are pretty weak at the moment). That combination of steep seat angle with slack head angle and long top tube is definitely here to stay! Nice work Brant!
