Ragley Ti on Podium

My Ragley Ti (or Posh Pig)

Finished 6th in the 30-39 category, 13th overall.

Cruising in woods.......Not in much of a mood to hammer it, just cruising upright and cool, did allright though.

Blue Pig

Recently swapped a very lightweight aluminium frame (120) for the Pig. What a revelation, this bike just munches everything in its path and is so much more FUN and comfortable.(I no longer feel the need to scrub off speed on rough challenging sections)
My trail mate Archie (probably the fittest Labradoodle around) usually sports a blue collar to match the theme on the bike!

Fox Talas 15mm bolt thru forks 2009 100-140mm  - really good versatile fork for this frame
Blue Ragley grips
Fizik saddle
Race Face Atlas 70mm stem
Mavic Crossrides
9 speed for simplicity - 36 ring up front to help power down the hills (e thirteen chain guide) No bash ring
Maxis Minion 2.35 up front (super Tacky) and Nobby Nic 2.25 on the rear
Thompson Lay back seatpost seems to be ok at present with no ride positional problems
Easton Flatboy pedals - my feet stick to these like glue and they are one tough pedal!

  Terrific bike!

Ragley mmmBop in Singapore!

Here's my ragley fitted with the wrong fork before it gets dirty.   Specs as follows: mmmBop frame Fox 2011 Talas 180mm fork (running at 140mm) XT 10speed groupset except for the dual chainring slx crank ztr flow rims with nice red hubs the rest are ragley parts, except for the giant contact handlebar   It actually rides very nice. I thought it fits better than my Giant Trance X!   Regards, Singapore

My Blue Pig

P1010453

Hi There

Here is my newly built Pig.

Mostly built from the components from my 07 SWorks Enduro.

16 inch Sqwash Frame

Manitou Minute Elite 140mm air forks.

XT gears

Hope Mini brakes

Hope hubs

Mavic 219 rims

Nokian NBX 2.3 tyres (don't laugh, they are great, but will change to something good for a tubless conversion soon)

CK headset

Easton Havoc stem

Monkeylight bars

Ritchey seatpost

WTB saddle

Peaty grips

Feels suprisingly light and climbs well, really pleased, now waiting for the QED frame to be in the shops, and build a friend for the Pig.

Regards

Graeme

Mmmbop

Tempted to try after feeling something was not quiet right with the 'OO 456 Summer Season' and the bargain price that crc are knocking these out i took a punt. Absolutely stoked as this thing is sweet, not as harsh as i was expecting, and so direct, nearly caught me out once or twice at first after the positively lazy 456. The angles are great, just feels right, once i get the fit just so, saddle etc, this is going to be awesome, already climbing in higher gears and letting the bike go more on the descent's.

Spec:

18"
Pike 454 Coil
Full XT
Halo Freedom Disc Wheels
Joplin 3
Hope Headset & Clamp
Thomson 70mm Stem
Race Face Atlas AM Bars 685mm

Came out at 28.01lb on the shop scales, and that's with heavy fork, wheels and wire bead tyres, so room for less if i feel the urge to spend!

Anyone toying with the idea of picking up a bargain, do it now before they are all gone.

Flying Pig!

Hi Guys,

Update on the Blue Pig from NZ and a couple of action shots! Just built up a new rear wheel with a Nuke Proof generator hub (which is a nice piece of kit) and DT 5.1 rim. Hope ceramic BB is nice and bling too.
Thankfully the necessary bodge-job on the derailer hanger seems to be holding up well (a brake cable end jammed over the derailer stop to prevent it from swinging round) which is good because I can't heap enough praise on how the bike rides!

Cheers

Chris
